|
this study begins with the question what influence the life satisfaction of elderly based on the stable daily life has upon ‘disaster’, an uncertain risk factor. This study compares and analyzes how the life satisfaction of institution care elderly and home care elderly affects their awareness and attitude of disaster in terms of residential environment factor, one of the important considerations in the life satisfaction of elderly. The subjects of this study are institution care elderly and home care elderly living in Busan Metropolitan City. We studied 360 elderly aged more than sixty five, through face-to-face interview. The data we collected were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 statistical package. We could confirm the difference according to the main variables, and we could reveal that life satisfaction affects the understanding of disaster. We identify the difference between the living environments of elderly to provide the basic data of disaster countermeasures for institution care elderly and home care elderly, respectively.
